The CraftVillage

To deliver or reach a feeling of a creative space, you have to provide room in that place around you, so that the flow of time can transform the space within yourself. When you are in motion with tools and materials, not yet knowing where you’re heading, you feel confident that something good will be given to you. Crafts women and men working in different materials and styles will be represented; blacksmiths, wood and ornament carvers, textile printers & ceramicists are helping youth to release their creativity in objects like raku burnt bowls, nails, hooks, african masks, prints on t-shirts, spoons and jewelry.
In this space we not only create objects but we also mold our selves. It is a safe zone for trial and error. A site made for culture where people connect their theories and thoughts with physical materials. A place where creativity/happenings/informal meetings/poetry slams and presentations are more than welcome during work. We will challenge you to create the most fantastic space for learning and connecting.
The CraftVillage will be hosted by Daniel Ängmo, Ruben Persson and YIP-participant Christoph Walter.
