Improvisational Theatre
Yelda Hadodo
Workshop Description:
To express an emotion of joy, indifference or anger on stage, you have to be aware of your own feelings and how to relate to your emotions. Besides dialogues and interacting with a co-star, being aware of your own bodylanguage is essential in the process of creating a character.
In this workshop we will mostly be doing improvisations where, for instance, you will be asked to test different ways to express an emotion using only your bodyanguage. We all come from different countries and therefore have other cultures. Can we communicate with each other without words? How significant are our cultural gestures, expressions and even bodylanguage when we interact with one another?
To participate in this workshop you need no previous acting skills; just simply bring joy. Even goofiness will sometimes be required! But have in mind that it will challenge your body, mind and creativity!
